Can I import a GPX file before or during my activity?
Yes, it’s now possible! You can import a GPX file into the Decathlon Outdoor app, directly from the "Record" tab.
📥 How do I import a GPX file?
From the "Record" tab, you can:
- Import a GPX file before starting your activity,
- Or start recording and then import a GPX file during the activity.
Only files in GPX format are supported (KML or other formats are not compatible).
If your file contains multiple tracks, only the first one will be displayed on the map.
Once the file is added, you’ll see a blue line representing the route. This lets you follow a personal route or one shared with you while recording your own activity.
🧭 Can I get guided navigation on this route?
No. When importing a GPX file:
- There is no voice guidance or visual instructions like with catalog routes,
- Only the blue track appears on the map to help you navigate.
This mode is designed for autonomous navigation with a simple visual reference.
🤠 Will my activity still be recorded?
Yes, recording works as usual:
- You can start/stop your activity whenever you want,
- It is automatically added to your personal history in the "Profile" tab,
- You can then choose to keep it private or share it with the community by submitting it for moderation.
⚠️ It is not possible to share a GPX file as-is with the community. Only activities recorded in the field can be proposed for publication in the catalog.
🔄 Can I import a file from a watch or other connected device?
No. For now, GPX import only works with files already saved on your phone. It is not possible to import or export a GPX file from or to a connected watch.
