The Decathlon Outdoor app allows you to record your route in real time during your activity. Once your route is finished, you can save it to your personal history or share it with the community.
1. Start recording an activity
Open the app and make sure you are logged into your Decathlon account
In the navigation menu at the bottom of your screen, tap the central Record tab
Choose your discipline by tapping the Sport icon located at the bottom left (e.g. Hiking) to open the selection menu:
Walking / Hiking / Running / Trail running
Hybrid bike / Mountain bike / Gravel / Road cycling
Snowshoeing
(Optional) To follow an existing route, you can import your file by tapping the Import button (GPX icon)
Tap the blue Start button in the centre to begin recording
GPS signal: If the blue banner “Searching for GPS signal. Please wait on the spot” appears, wait a few moments at the starting point to ensure the accuracy of your route.
2. Follow and capture your route live
During recording, the screen displays your data in real time:
Effort statistics: view the distance (Covered), Active time, Ascent ↗ and your average speed
Take photos: tap the Camera icon (located to the right on the map)
Manage pause and end: tap Pause when stopping, then tap Finish when your outing is complete
3. Save and share your creation
Once the session is finished:
Confirm the summary of your activity
Choose to keep it private or suggest it to the community
If you share it publicly, the moderation team will check that the route meets safety and quality criteria
Find your published routes in your Profile, under the Posts section. Otherwise, find your personal recordings in your Profile as well, under the Activities section
Key points to remember💡
Start recording from the Record tab, choose your sport at the bottom left, then tap Start
You can import a GPX route before starting via the Import button
Wait for GPS signal confirmation before moving on your route
Take photos during your outing using the Camera button on the map
