Starting in September 2026, the Fitbit app will no longer be available for syncing your sports activities on Decathlon Outdoor. Don't worry, this service is being directly replaced by Google Health! Here's how to continue syncing your data without interruption.
Why is Fitbit synchronization being discontinued?
Google is changing the synchronization services associated with Fitbit. The service used to connect Fitbit to your Decathlon account is therefore being replaced by Google Health. As a result, the automatic connection between your Fitbit account and your Decathlon account will no longer work starting in September 2026.
🔄 How do I connect Google Health to replace Fitbit?
The switch to Google Health does not happen automatically. To continue syncing your activities and receiving your loyalty points, you must manually link your account to this new service. Here's how:
- Open the Decathlon Outdoor app
- Go to the Profile tab
- Open Settings
- Click Sync my activities
- Select Google Health from the list (which now replaces Fitbit)
- Follow the on-screen instructions to authorize the connection
What happens to my old activities recorded with Fitbit?
Don't worry—all activities you synced with Fitbit before September 2026 will remain saved in your personal history. Only your new activities will require a connection to Google Health to appear in the app.
⚠️ Good to know
- The connection to Google Health is centralized: once enabled, it works for your entire Decathlon account, including your loyalty program.
- We recommend doing this as soon as possible: once Fitbit is disconnected, your new sessions will not be recorded until Google Health is connected.
