If the app is unable to detect your location, it is possible that access to your geolocation is disabled. You can easily check if your browser or device allows access to GPS. Here are simple steps to enable geolocation and allow the app to use your position.
Check permission on your device
Depending on your phone or tablet, geolocation may be disabled.
On Android
Open Settings.
Go to Location.
Turn on Geolocation.
Then open App permissions and check that the Outdoor app is set to Allow.
On iPhone / iPad
Open Settings.
Select Privacy & Security.
Tap Location Services and enable it.
In the app list, open the Outdoor app and choose While Using the App (or Always if you want to be guided without interruption).
Check the location mode
On many devices, several modes exist:
High Accuracy / GPS + Network (recommended)
Device Only (GPS)
Battery Saving
Make sure the chosen mode allows the GPS to obtain an accurate position.
Check if other restrictions are enabled
Some options can block GPS:
Airplane mode enabled
Privacy restrictions
Battery optimization preventing location
GPS connection disabled in quick shortcuts
A quick check through the control center / quick panel may be enough to verify these settings.
By enabling geolocation in your settings and allowing the app to access it, you get an accurate position and can fully enjoy the guiding features 🌍
