How to change the map background?

It is possible to change the map background in Decathlon Outdoor according to your needs: standard or satellite background. The change is made directly from the navigation screen, without leaving your outing. These maps are provided by Mapbox and allow you to adjust readability according to your activity. 

How to change the map background?

To change the map background:

1. Open the Decathlon Outdoor app

2. Display the map (from the home page, the preview of an outing from the catalogue, or a recording)

3. Press the “Map type” button (at the bottom right of the screen)

4. Select the desired background

The change is immediate.

Which map backgrounds are available?

You can switch between:

• standard background (Mapbox Streets),

• satellite background (Mapbox Satellite).

You simply choose the display that suits you best.

When is this useful?

Changing the map background can help you to:

• better visualise the terrain,

• clearly locate places and intersections,
